Kitchen Assistant

Hourly Rate £10.42 - £10.62 per hour

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our residential dementia care home, Walton Manor, located on Shay Lane, Walton, Wakefield WF2 6NW.

As a Kitchen Assistant your role will include

Preparing and assisting with cooking main meals.
Preparing and cooking breakfast, pastries, afternoon snacks such as cakes, biscuits etc.
Follow Health and Safety and food safety procedures.
Keep the kitchen equipment, crockery and utensils clean and hygienic and report concerns to line manager.
To serve and support with meals to residents as required.

Ideally as a kitchen Assistant you will have

Strong interpersonal skills.
Previous catering experience.
Knowledge of a care setting and the needs of elderly people.
Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
Experience of working in a care environment, ideally in a residential setting (desirable).
Level 2 Food Safety certificate (desirable).
