Project Manager – The Role

Groundfix are currently looking for a motivated and well organised Project Manager with groundworks and earthworks experience to join the site team initially on a housing development project at Sherford, Plympton.

You will be responsible for leading/managing the day to day delivery of the project site team, Client interaction, and working closely with the client’s designers.
Develop project plans / programmes
Ensure compliance with client deadlines, material deliveries, engineering, quality, safety and contractual requirements
Ensure effective cost control of the project
Maintain and manage the relationship with the client and stakeholders
Ensure successful project handover to the client, including O & M manuals, as-builts and the H & S file.

Project Manager – The Person

The Successful candidate is to have extensive knowledge and experience in infrastructure works including bulk earthworks, drainage, services and road construction.
Have a proven track record and experience in meeting customer expectations and to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Ideally experienced on both residential and non-residential projects
High calibre individual who is committed to Health, safety and quality.

The candidate must also have :

Excellent Health & Safety knowledge and awareness.
SMSTS & CSCS qualified
Ideally first aid qualified but not essential
Good communication skills and be confident in liaising and dealing with the client, the general public, and third parties.
